About Me

Hi everybody. As you've already guessed, my name is Pauric Doherty. I'm from a small village called Laghey in Donegal in the North West corner of Ireland. I am currently working in Hospira Sligo as an IT Systems Administrator. I'm loving the lifestyle back in Donegal. I have spent 7 years of my life in Galway, mainly at college, then spent a year in Dublin, much to my regret! I'm now back in the nice tranquil place that I grew up in .. and this is definitely me! I haven't settled just yet and hope to go travelling sometime in the future, but we'll wait and see when that will be!

Ok, education history! I spent 8 years in St Eunans N.S. Laghey, then 5 years in the Abbey Vocational School Donegal Town. I then spent 4 years in the National University of Ireland, Galway and successfully achieved a first class honours degree in Computer and Electronic Engineering. I've been working since then at various jobs. Mainly in IT support roles! I enjoy helping people and have a keen interest in technology so I've fallen into this career. I'm not sure if this is my career for life or not ... but for now I'm quite happy!

I lived for a total of 7 years in Galway and this was probably the best time of my life so far. Galway is a great city with loads and loads of things to do in your spare time. The night life has to be one of the best in Ireland with the pubs being some of the nicest and friendly in Ireland. Galway was recently voted the sexiest cist in Europe I think ... and this is a major accomplishment!

I enjoy the usual past times. I play Gaelic football for Naomh Brid, and I am also the PRO for the club for 2007. I enjoy swimming, and keeping fit in general. I'm not exactly as I'd like to be fitness wise ... but I'm getting there! I also love fishing ... when the weather permits! I love watching DVD's and have a large collection containg all sorts of genre's! I also love listening to music. Music, for me is all dependant on the mood I'm in, so I can listen to anything from Classical to Dance/Trance!
